Participate in Curriculum Design and
Evaluation of Program Outcomes
This competency states nursing instructors are responsible for formulating program outcomes and designing curricula that reflects contemporary health care trends and prepares graduates to function effectively in the health care environment.
Health care is an ever changing, evolving profession. Nursing schools must reflect this and keep current in nursing and health care trends. Nursing faculty must ensure curriculum not only reflects the institution's philosophy and mission but graduates students able to function in this complex health care environment. This curriculum must be based on research and sound educational principles. At times curriculum may need to be revised and faculty need to keep open minds to allow for this.
I believe as a nursing instructor I will need to keep an open mind to changes in curriculum. Keeping current with nursing and health care trends will be important in revising curriculum. My involvement in quality improvement programs will help keep me current in these trends.

Anatomy & Physiology Website
As an adjunct instructor in Anatomy and Physiology at Baker College, I created a website which students can utilize to see weekly assignments. In addition, there are many informational sections on the website that provide further instruction for that week's activity. I am really proud of this website as it is the culmination of many hours of development which will serve to complement the anatomy and physiology class
